Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

HN commenters link adormo.com's project pages, such as an About page and a features page for an Airbnb-style site builder. The comments mention a typo, a wording choice, and the site's resemblance to Airbnb.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?

  1. I am a single founder and from 2001 to 2009 I lived and traveled the world 11 months a year thanks to an online accommodation reservation business. Now some 20 people joined me and we are building a new version called http://www.adormo.com/ which should let them work online and travel too. I never made big money but I consider it a huge success: my aim was to see the world and I did. If I can help other people do th…

  3. great! I sent you an email. It's funny you label it as social reservations. Did you see this page? http://www.adormo.com because we also launched a test project (italan only for now) http://social.adormo.com/ where it's much more social. I just wonder what site you did visit :)

  5. I don't like to be the "I told you so" guy. But I told you so. I wrote this a couple of years ago: "All Eggs in One Airbnb" http://www.adormo.com/blog/marketing/all-the-eggs-in-one-air... because I keep meeting hosts who say "I'm fine with just Airbnb". The build a whole business based on a single website, a single failure point. Disclosure: we help hosts be present in several platforms, including Airbnb.

  7. Luca, On your About page ( http://www.adormo.com/project/en/aboutus.htm ) you have a spelling mistake. "Wordlwide" should read "Worldwide".

  11. Thanks for the feedback, I will write a blog post then. Just a few quick comments for now: link: http://www.adormo.com/ we have a blog too, but I haven't linked it yet from the home page as it has only 4 posts: http://www.adormo.com/blog > Kind of an airbnb builder yes, eventually you may build something like airbnb. Of course by the time we get there airbnb will be on the moon :) The idea did not come from there th…

  13. Love the idea. Kind of an airbnb builder. I just have a comment though on this page " http://www.adormo.com/project/ownersite/en/features.htm . I would replace "cheapest" by "least expensive", or "cost effective". Cheapest well sounds cheap most of the times. Just a personal preference. That being said, i would love to hear more about your plans.

  16. I have been working online for many years now and I share your pain :) I don't think relying on the information the Owners give can be a solution. They want to sell and they'll consider their shared wifi connection always "fast", whatever that means. We have developed a niche platform for vacation rentals which would allow you to build a website dedicated just to vacation rentals with internet connection. (some call…
