  8. I think https://www.teamwork.com/ covers most of your check boxes if not all. It is a fairly powerful project management tool, similar to Basecamp but with quite a few more features. I haven't used the time tracking features included, but they do exist. Our company uses a combination of Teamwork (for general project management and task management) and Harvest for time tracking and invoicing.

  9. Full disclosure - I work for Teamwork.com, but I use the Teamwork Projects[1] free plan for a few of my side projects and haven't found an easier alternative, you can adjust the "lightweightness" per project and just turn off stuff you don't use, then again I am more familiar with it than other tools so of course it will be more straightforward to me. 10. Best completely depends on your use case. My advice is to try a few and run your typical project scenarios through them and decide which is the best fit for you and your team. Top 3 recommendations: 1) Asana http://www.asana.com 2) TeamworkPM http://teamwork.com 3) Trello https://trello.com/
