  5. There is definitely room for the Phoenix Form helpers to do more. Iommi looks like a really interesting approach I hadn't seen before. For example AshAdmin ( https://github.com/ash-project/ash_admin ) takes these ideas further and generates a full super admin interface for you. It's a bit clunky and you should ultimately write your own admin, but it lets you focus on the important parts first. For anyone else who ha…

  7. It wasn't for me. It was: - it looked good - it was very easy to just write - the lack of customization meants I didn't get stuck for hours and hours trying to find a template or choose a statist site generator, or tweak CSS, choose images, etc. Ultimately I moved to github pages where at least I had to get jekyll (which is kinda crap imo, but works), but I have spent a lot of time tweaking it and I still don't like…

  15. I'm the author of mutmut, the primary mutation tester for python, so I think I can speak a bit on this. It's quite straight forward to do MT in software. I've done quite a bit of it for specific libraries that I've built (iommi, tri.struct, and internal code). A big advantage in my book of MT over PBT is the much lower cognitive overhead for MT and that you can know you have done it completely. The second may be jus…

  17. As one of the developers of iommi I can confidently say that seasoned Django developers will be very confused by the iommi code base heh. We do things quite differently, for good and ill. I wrote about this here: https://kodare.net/2024/09/30/why-iommi-is-weird.html

  19. BTW, your " https://kodare.net/2025/08/08/documentation-that-is-never-wr... " is fantastic, I always liked the idea of docstest, only the implementation sucked. But this is much better. Any plan on open sourcing this infra for sphinx or mkdocs?
