Andreas Zeller's personal blog at andreas-zeller.blogspot.com covers programming and science. Since 2017, 3 different Hacker News readers have linked it 3 times. The last post was in 2019, but the archive is still widely read.
Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Linked in a thread on why Google indexes pages users cannot access. One commenter describes decoding a Caesar-cipher text from a German page, and the comment does not assess the blog's writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
They did in fact use a Caesar cipher [1], a quick calculation on letter frequencies gave a strong hint. The rest was looking up the shift value and coding a js bookmarklet [2] to "decrypt" the text. It had some issues with certain German Umlauts, but was not enough of an issue to fix it. Looks like they now longer include the full text publicly. So they seem to have improved.
