Why HN links it

HN readers link this blog for posts on serving traffic directly from SQLite and a one-line Python echo server. One commenter called the 'pyramid of code quality' article insubstantial.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

  11. For my latest side project, I've been taking lots of this stuff into account based on the original Pycon talk. The separate reusable app idea is the strongest point, something that was just starting to come into convention when I put down Django the first time. However, a lot of the reusable apps leave something to be desired. I started to leave a comment on that here, but spun off a blog post instead: http://sigusr…

  17. Well, this is an article about programming, not a program, and it's pretty insubstantial. All it really does is mention some buzzwords and and note that they're the foundation of the "pyramid of code quality". Nothing personal against the author, but it's pretty flat for something that's stayed on the front page through evening. I wonder why it's getting voted up.
