What Hacker News says?
I'm biased (this is my husband's website) but I like the conciseness of https://shazow.net/ a lot.

HN discussionI have a bunch of projects I built up which I consider "done" as far as I'm concerned, but at the same time they're basically free to run (AppEngine in the free tier) so I'm always reluctant to sell... I do wish there were people who wanted to take one of these and build them out to the "next level". - http://www.tweepsect.com/ - Gets 300,000~600,000 pageviews per month (about 1/6 uniques), makes a couple hundred bu…

HN discussionFor much of the time I've been employed full-time (you can find my resume in the footer of http://shazow.net/ ), which made maintaining open source stuff that much harder. I've saved up money and reduced expenses to allow myself to take time to work on other things. Some of my projects are bringing in money, but not enough to cover my living expenses. Occasionally I'll take on a contract.

HN discussionI know, right? Ahem. All kinds of things, maintaining a bunch of open source libraries and tools ( https://github.com/shazow ), bootstrapping a service that emails you analytics summaries ( https://briefmetrics.com/ ), building random apps that I happen to need (a partial list on http://shazow.net/ ). I suspect your underlying question was whether I am employed full-time—I am not.

HN discussionA long long time ago, I wrote up a really basic rules of thumb for novice designers[0] to help me be more aware of basic principles but I've always wanted someone to write a more comprehensive yet practical design guide. This is it! I'm super excited about Tracy's work on this topic, everyone should follow it and get in on the Kickstarter[1] if you haven't already. :) [0] https://shazow.net/everything/rules-of-thumb…
