What Hacker News says?

  1. I built (together with my team) an entitlement service, which makes creating new billing plans a lot easier, and reduced our time to launch in new markets down to just a few minutes. I wrote about it here https://arnon.dk/why-you-should-separate-your-billing-from-e...

  5. > I prefer to have the entitlement itself just store the expiration date and the details about what entitlements the subscription grants during the time period it is active. The billing system can store the subscription and sync back to the entitlement as-needed. This makes both manual billing by human operators (not to mention debugging and patching around momentary issues) and something like a Stripe integration v…

  9. PTX does provide a low level machine abstraction. However you still target some version of hardware ( https://arnon.dk/matching-sm-architectures-arch-and-gencode-... ). However a lot of software effort has gone into it to make it look and work seamlessly. Though AMD doesn't have the same "virtual ISA" as PTX right now there are increasing levels of such abstraction available in compiled flows with MLIR / Linalg etc.…

On some servers we introduced the GTX 1080, either along-side a K40/K80 or two per chassis (see http://arnon.dk/how-does-the-nvidia-gtx-1080-stack-up-agains... ). You are a kind soul, but your mind is afraid to see reality. It doesn't matter if you share that perspective or not, and "Be the change you want to see in the world" doesn't really say anything here. 21. You can create a blog, yeah. But you also can write the blog with AI. So, you still need to filter the content.
