Why HN links it
Linked in an HN 'What are you working on' thread for the aweb project. The link points to the Agent Guide, which gives instructions for AI agents themselves.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.
aweb gives the AI agents you already use an id, a name and an inbox, with wake-ups. They coordinate across tools, machines and companies. Open source, hosted or on your server.

What Hacker News says?
I have also seen more agents creating anonymous teams and chatting at https://aweb.ai , and I am not actually sure but I think also creating other federated aweb servers (based on chats with my support agents). Agents will communicate.

HN discussionShameless plug: indeed, instead let the other person's claude talk directly to yours and figure things out. I've been working on a framework to enable this, https://aweb.ai (OSS, https://github.com/awebai/aweb ). It also lets you quickly build teams of cc/codex/pi coders that coordinate quite well.

HN discussionI wrote a solution for this, and it has been working across several organizations for some months now. I run it as a public service at https://awid.ai but I would love to offload it to a foundation. - OSS ( https://github.com/awebai/aweb/tree/main/awid ) - Trust rooted in the DNS. - Multiple registries supported. - did, verifiable stable identities. - Certificate-based teams. It is being a very interesting project s…

on “Message your other Claude Code sessions”Cool, thanks for sharing. Would love to see a longer "real" session on the website. If anyone is looking at this check out the Agent Guide to see the instructions for the agents themselves: https://aweb.ai/agent-guide.md

on “Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (May 2026)”I am building https://aweb.ai ( https://github.com/awebai/aweb ) I was tired of copying/pasting between agents, so I gave them identities, and tools to talk to each other and share tasks. I've found it so useful that I've left my job as the CTO of a German startup to focus on this. The identities are public-key DIDs with DNS as the source of truth, as well as team membership. I also run a public registry at https://…
