Why HN links it

Blog of Calvin Rose, creator of the Janet language. HN links it for Janet material, such as a write-up of how Janet's PEG parser module works, and for background on Janet and Fennel.

What Hacker News says?

  1. The author, Calvin Rose, is a (I assume pretty great) compiler engineer at NVIDIA who has a personal affinity for LISPs and Lua: https://bakpakin.com/ I don't think the average programming language enthusiast is maintaining multiple well-known languages.

  3. This is funny, cos I saw this stated somewhere on HN the other day, was totally amazed he'd done both, went and checked, and found out it was untrue - I think! Someone correct me please if I'm confused. Calvin Rose made Janet https://github.com/bakpakin and https://bakpakin.com/ Phil Hagelberg made Fennel https://git.sr.ht/~technomancy/fennel and https://technomancy.us/colophon
