What Hacker News says?
I have two, my main blog and Iron Arachne's blog, the latter of which is probably more interesting to HN. My main blog is just a journal of sorts. There are a handful of interesting posts, which you can find here: https://benovermyer.com/post/my-breakfast-a-recipe-and-a-rit... https://benovermyer.com/post/star-wars-galaxies-crafting/ The Iron Arachne blog is about procedurally generating content for tabletop role-pl…

HN discussionhttps://benovermyer.com/ My site hearkens back to the spirit of the old days. Except for a custom web font, it doesn't have many visual frills. No CSS framework, almost no JS. Lots of random content; it's not just a blog or a resume, though it has those too.

HN discussionWell, the site that houses tools-in-progress towards this end is Iron Arachne: https://ironarachne.com . The writing on the subject that I've done - what little there is, anyway - is on my personal website, https://benovermyer.com . As it turns out, a lot of the articles I wrote about it seem to have broken images or links. Looks like I need to go back and clean that up.

HN discussionThis doesn't help your wider problem, but here's the recipe section of my website. I believe it has more of a content style that you're looking for. https://www.benovermyer.com/recipe/

HN discussionMy own website is starting to "revert" to this concept. A few years ago, it was primarily an about page and a resume. Now it has a blog, a links page, and a "knowledge base" that's mostly just notes for myself. I'm too burnt out on web "best practices" to care about that for my personal sites anymore. HN discussionI played SWG from its release until its final shutdown, though I had several months-long breaks during the run. I posted a few articles on my blog after it was shut down in 2011. Here's one of them, going into the crafting system: https://benovermyer.com/post/2012/star-wars-galaxies-craftin...

HN discussionMy personal site is text only [1]. There is a tiny amount of JavaScript from Plausible, but there are no web fonts and no images. [1] https://benovermyer.com

on “Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (March 2023)”I was curious, so I tried it out. I ran `apt install offpunk` on my Debian laptop. Then, I ran "offpunk" and got a new terminal prefixed "ON>". Curious, I entered "help" and got a list of topics. A few stood out as immediately interesting, so I tried "open https://benovermyer.com " to open my site. It said I needed to "go" somewhere first. So, I tried "go https://benovermyer.com " instead. That showed me a text prev…

on “Offpunk 3.0”I think I might try and join in on one of the virtual meetups. I'm in North Carolina, so hard to find something in my time zone, but eh. My site is one of those that modern folks call "virtual gardens" sometimes. Love to have new visitors, and I'm allergic to SEO for my personal stuff, haha. https://benovermyer.com is my site.

on “Homebrew Website Club”https://benovermyer.com/blog There is a wide variety of random content on my site. This is my blog. I tend to write more often about gaming and life in general, and tech only sporadically.

on “Omg.lol: An Oasis on the Internet”I do this, too. My site https://benovermyer.com has a blog, but the more interesting stuff is all the _other_ pages. The most frequently updated page is the list of books I've read. Do you have a "digital garden" site?
