What Hacker News says?

  1. Actually, this same thing was found on iOS. That said, it doesn't appear to have a keylogger on iOS for some reason. See here: http://blog.chpwn.com/post/13572216737

  5. Here are the result of the current investigations made by @chpwn http://blog.chpwn.com/post/13572216737 I'm an iOS user and I'm concerned by this, I know that maybe these data are not sent to any remote server or maybe it depends on the carrier, but still I'm concerned that Apple would integrate a third party binary on its system. That's plain wrong for me. I want them to tell us what their phone collect, what their…

  9. While that is a good observation, it has been proven that no statistical data is sent to CarrierIQ when the preference is disabled. 11. What Apple has done with the iPad 1 (I'll refrain from speculating on motives, as I have absolutely no idea why they actually EOL'd it) is still not as bad as what they've done with armv6 devices. A developer, if they want (and some won't), can still support the iPad 1 fairly easily (or as easily as any support for iOS 5).
