Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
The only comment cites the blog's post on using Linux namespaces directly in C as a source, alongside alternatives to Docker. The linked posts cover containers and namespaces; no comment judges the writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.
What Hacker News says?
Thanks for the feedback and alternatives, I hadn't seen Spoon or LXD yet so I'll check those out. Namespaces are sometimes supported directly by the application itself, for example uWSGI, and anything lacking native support you can use firejail [1]. There is also an article [2] by an OVH employee about using namespaces directly in C. [1]: https://l3net.wordpress.com/projects/firejail/ [2]: https://blog.jtlebi.fr/201…
