Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
MinIO engineering blog posts on Go performance work, including Go assembler, SIMD and speed-ups such as accelerating SHA256 and BLAKE2b, and c2goasm. HN readers cite them as examples of optimised Go code.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Yeah, no idea personally. Haven't used the gateway functionality in Minio at all. That being said, the Minio team seem pretty good with writing performance optimised code. Frank Wessels (on Minio team), has been writing articles about Go assembler and other Go optimisation things recently. eg: • https://blog.minio.io/accelerating-blake2b-by-4x-using-simd-... • https://blog.minio.io/golang-internals-part-2-nice-benef…

HN discussionThis is entirely to lacking an optimized version for the new aarch64 instruction set. Similar problem noted in Go benchmarks awhile back, see 100x speed up here: https://blog.minio.io/accelerating-sha256-by-100x-in-golang-...

HN discussionProbably worth mentioning the blog post too: https://blog.minio.io/c2goasm-c-to-go-assembly-bb723d2f777f Out of curiosity, any idea how well does Go asm works with Delve (the Go debugger)?
