  1. I've been assembling a list of these lately for a book that I'm working on. 3. This is great news. If you want to see why HipChat makes sense: take a look at our integration with HipChat https://www.blossom.io/blog/2013/03/12/take-a-look-at-our-ne... If you have a product that creates more value for your customers if you integrate with HipChat this is now a no-brainer :) Revenue wise integrating was definitely worth it for us.

  5. As a user of trello I fear 'being a general purpose data structure for everyone' is the wrong direction to go :( # Target Audience? When you look at who is using trello right now you will find mostly agile teams, startups, freelancers, engineers, designers who do software development. IIRC this is also the reason it originally got built. The team wanted to scratch their own itch and I think they did a good job. I li…

  9. The problem with SCRUM is that it is not agile. That's why we see most of the pragmatic companies adopting a kanban or scrumban approach and they see good results. I would argue that just having a kanban board during stand-up meetings and "walking the board" instead of interrogation-like status reporting is going to do wonders to team collaboration atmosphere, morale and actual productivity. You start to see and tal…

  17. We ( https://www.blossom.io ) are using Dart alongside JavaScript (CoffeeScript) right now. You can call JavaScript code from Dart and vice versa. https://www.dartlang.org/articles/js-dart-interop/ This was a great pragmatic stepping stone for us as we moved from a JavaScript only code base to a much saner development experience thanks to Dart. 25. From my POV google app engine is still the only PaaS offering that can scale the data-tier. Scaling the application instances is a lot easier and most other PaaS providers struggle with that too. I think if you look at the big picture GAE is as good as it gets at the moment and there is quite a gap to the second place when it comes to automatic scaling. Am I missing something? Disclaimer: we are very happy and excit…

  27. Rather than a rip-off I see it as an indicator that the software development industry is moving away from list-based issue tracking to visualizing the development process in a more intuitive and transparent way (cards that move through different stages) which imho makes a ton of sense. We've built https://www.blossom.io for exactly that reason. But there are many tools out there that use this visualization or a hybr…
