What Hacker News says?

  1. A normal user has full access to the kernel API. Always kernel info leaks, occasional easy exploits. On macos you can use Apple's native sandboxing. See for example http://mybyways.com/blog/creating-a-macos-sandbox-to-run-kod...

  3. /usr/bin/sandbox-exec is still on macOS Monterey. It's not pretty, but you should still be able to roll your own sandbox rules and run any arbitrary app with it: https://mybyways.com/blog/creating-a-macos-sandbox-to-run-ko...

  5. The app will only run on your phone for 7 days[1] unless you pay Apple an annual fee, which is a non-starter if you want to write an app that you will actually use instead of merely test. No such restrictions on Android, Windows, or other platforms. Moto Sport 360[2] looks like it will fit OP's requirements. [1] http://mybyways.com/blog/new-limitations-imposed-on-free-app... 6. Are you sure you don't have a paid account? My provisioning profiles expire after 7 days (the app is still on my phone but upon launch it just crashes with a white screen) http://mybyways.com/blog/new-limitations-imposed-on-free-app... https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36998956/why-does-my-fre... https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/47837 https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/4hotx3/news_free... 7. I recently had to use an x86 version of Linux on my M1Pro MBP, hence using QEMU emulation instead of virtualization. The system was barely usable, although I only had basic headless server/SSH requirements. Researching a little showed that this is basically what can be expected running x86 emulation and the systems will just be wonky and slow, although it was running flawlessly, just slow. There seem to be ways to u…
