Why HN links it

HN commenters link Cam Pedersen's posts on the singularity as breakdown of human institutions, the brep-kernel series on a vibe-coded CAD project, and pages on the Loon language and terminal mode.

  3. Accountability is not possible when progress moves faster than law. It was noticed around 2023 when it was clear that legal is outpaced by technology that this is a runaway process with no turning back and no accountability. There was a blog here on HN about a year ago that showed that the singularity is most likely going to be human institutions breaking down completely https://campedersen.com/singularity

  5. I like the design, very clean. I did something similar at http://mugshotwars.com/ Elo is a fun algorithm. You can read about my implementation at http://campedersen.com/

  7. I'm wrapping up my 6th month of using an iPad as my main computer [1] and this is one of my largest remaining annoyances. Working on frontend code is a huge pain, and I often have to resort to hacks like alert()ing to debug problems. Weinre [2] is great but it's in a separate tab and requires you to run a server. It would be great if someone wrapped this into a React component so you could drop an <Inspector /> into…

  17. ...and don’t forget Loon Lang — it’s a gem: https://loonlang.com By the way, “they” is actually just one person: Cam Pedersen — https://campedersen.com So far, he’s shown incredible productivity (with Claude Code). I integrated his vcad into my toy project here, and it worked on the first try, which is quite impressive for such a young project: https://github.com/darwin/supex/tree/dev Definitely keep an eye on him.

  21. Perhaps relevant: https://campedersen.com/loon This looks like a really neat project/idea; seeing the road map is exciting too, nearly everything I'd want. I don't love the brackets syntax, or the [op val1 val2] ([* x x]) style, but I appreciate the attempt at clarity and consistency and none of these things are dealbreakers. I do wonder why they've leaned so hard into talking about the type system being out of sigh…
