Why HN links it
HN readers link Carol Chen's blog for technical posts on JIT compilers and Python performance (CPython vs PyPy), and for a post on her experience as a co-founder and founder.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 5 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
In theory, yes. In CPython, apparently not. In PyPy, yes.[1] PyPy has to do a lot of extra work to permit some unlikely events. [1] https://carolchen.me/blog/jits-impls/

HN discussionVery nice. I just looked at the author's resume.[a] It appears she is still in, or only very recently graduated from, high school . Is that right? Impressive! [a] https://carolchen.me/

HN discussionI wrote a blog post about hugging that a google recruiter saw and emailed me about. I probably would've been contacted anyway, but the post certainly helped with making an impression! https://carolchen.me/blog/group-hugging-theory/

HN discussionI just want to note the replies to this thread are excessively dismissive and toxic. You may not agree with the wording of their advertising ("world's most powerful NLP toolkit" is marketing speak, sure) but going from that to implying the technical side is "only Min-GPT" is tremendously weird. As someone who works in machine learning and specifically language models this is a team I'm keeping an eye on. For anyone…
