  11. A lot of the new tooling is in Go, superfile included. Noticed this after I started using LazyGit (incredible tool btw, I can't go back to anything else even after being a die hard Magit user for years) There's some stellar libraries in Go for terminal stuff, in particular anything from charmcli. They have an elm style TUI framework called bubbletea (which superfile uses), a styling library, prebuilt components, it'…

Seriously, though: Charm creates CLI tools, not coding agents: https://charm.sh/ https://github.com/orgs/charmbracelet/repositories Also, https://github.com/kujtimiihoxha 's recent commits are in https://github.com/opencode-ai/opencode . 19. My main source of inspiration was https://charm.sh They built an incredible demo `ssh git.charm.sh` and it had my mind spinning with the possibilities. I noticed they had an `scp` example ( https://github.com/charmbracelet/wish/tree/main/scp ) that I ended up repurposing for lists.sh. I think SSH apps have a ton of potential for people that live in the terminal so I couldn’t wait to try the tech out.

  21. Looks super impression. Congrats. A few questions ... a. what caused you to start working this? b. any particular reason why you chose to implement it the way you did (e.g. I see you use Python + Textual as opposed to something like https://charm.sh/libs/ ) c. any major functionality you feel it's missing? d. any limitations (e.g. doesn't work with Oracle?) e. any reason why someone should not use it? Thanks in adva…

  22. Hi! I made imgcat. I wanted to say how wonderful it is to wake up and find myself on the front page of hackernews. Things are so hard right now in the pandemic and this has given me a little virtual hug. Big thanks to the eng team at https://charm.sh/ who wrote the terminal library I am using and showed up with prs and great ideas.

  23. It’s for more than just a single CLI tool, but I’m a big fan of Charm’s site ( https://charm.sh/ ). It’s hard to understand what it all is at first, but I still had a pleasant experience just looking at it!

  26. Just what I was looking for, 1000+ JS dependencies and Yoga's deps to make a CLI app. Nope. Hard pass. But, I do love the concept of components for CLIs. I've had much success with the Charm set of tools for CLIs with Go ( https://charm.sh ).

  27. SEEKING VOLUNTEERS: GoStreams (or Lightning) It's an almost real-time data streaming service for the polygon.io data provider. It's a project that I started a couple of years ago during the pandemic. I've developed several data-sinks for this service (KDB, QuestDB, Postgres), but it's become more of a Theseus' Ship, development is never ending! The aim is to build a backtester that will attach to this data service.…

  30. Hello from Charm! I've been wanting someone to build this with Bubble Tea for SO long. I'm not on a Linux machine at the moment, but so excited to give this a try when I am. Anyway, it's nice to hear that the Elm architecture is working for you. If you have any questions about Bubble Tea feel free to jump in Discord: https://charm.sh/chat
