What Hacker News says?

  1. No need for JSON and JS, you can use pure HTML streaming: https://lamplightdev.com/blog/2024/01/10/streaming-html-out-... and pure CSS interactions like tabs, accordions, dropdown menus.

  3. Not only x-mixed-replace. You can do out-of-order HTTP streaming by appending chunks of HTML without any JS at all, thanks to Declarative Shadow DOM: https://lamplightdev.com/blog/2024/01/10/streaming-html-out-...

  5. You can also do out-of-order HTML streaming without JavaScript using declarative shadow DOM. For example: https://lamplightdev.com/blog/2024/01/10/streaming-html-out-...

  7. I'm not quite sure what you're doing, but I wonder if a new-ish browser api - Declarative Shadow DOM - could be useful here. It allows for sending a sort of html shell to the browser that contains pre-defined placeholders, and then async sending the html fragments for those placeholders. No JS required. It recently got support from all the major browsers. - https://developer.chrome.com/docs/css-ui/declarative-shadow…

  9. You can't without client side JavaScript if you're using the Shadow DOM. If you're not using Shadow DOM, just Light DOM, then you can do so: https://lamplightdev.com/blog/2019/07/20/how-to-server-side-...
