Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Linked as a company page on cloud data security and privacy-preserving AI. The one comment compares the company with another firm and does not discuss the writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.
Anjuna delivers cloud data security for agentic AI by isolating agents, enforcing runtime policy, and blocking unauthorized data exposure. Start free here.
What Hacker News says?
There is always going to be a gap between local-first processing and what can be achieved in a full-sized datacenter/cloud. That leads to the risks mentioned in the article. I wrote about Apple's Private Cloud Compute last year; for the foreseeable future, I still think server-side Confidential Computing is the most practical way to do processing without huge privacy risks: https://www.anjuna.io/blog/apple-is-using-…

HN discussionTheir GTM doesn't include a $ in front of their company acronym. I think there is similarity to https://www.anjuna.io/ and https://www.opaque.co/ here. I've heard of these, never iExec.

HN discussionAnd presumably not just SGX, but also the funding goes to future development in confidential computing hardware platforms as well (Intel TDX, ARM Realms, NVIDIA Confidential Computing, etc.). As you mentioned in another comment, there are lots of flavors from different vendors. Intel SGX is notoriously difficult to implement, and the newer Confidential Computing architectures like AMD SEV-SNP make different trade-of…

HN discussionConfidential Computing also provides data-in-use protection and has a significantly more realistic overhead, often <10% in real-world workloads I've seen. However, in this case you might want to combine it with customer managed keys (BYOK) or self-hosting anyways - otherwise the customer has no opportunity to perform remote attestation and prove you're really running in Confidential Computing. The visualization abou…

HN discussion(Disclosure: I work at Anjuna, a member of the Confidential Computing Consortium. Opinions my own.) The value of remote attestation in general (setting aside the implementation detail of RA-TLS) is that you have a form of software identity which is tied directly to the exact code that you're running. For example, if someone steals your service's API key, token, or cert, then they can impersonate your service. But if…
