  11. Cloudkick, San Francisco CA. Currently all FT positions are intended to be on-location. A YC Company from W09, we are hacking up server monitoring and management space. (Both cloud and non-cloud). Our tech is mostly Python based, with a spattering of Java, C, C++, Lua, and Node.js. We love fast product cycles, shipping features early, so we can get the customer feedback loop going as quickly as possible. Positions:…

They're complemented by monitoring products like: Self hosted: - Nagios (already mentioned in the post) - Cacti / Munin Hosted: - http://www.serverdensity.com (tool my company produces) - http://www.cloudkick.com (monitoring + cloud infrastructure management) - http://www.scoutapp.com these give you similar metrics plus vario…

  15. I congratulate the Mailgun team and I wish them all the best, but Rackspace's previous acquisitions bode ill for the future of Mailgun. Rackspace acquired CloudKick in late 2010 and Anso Labs in February of 2011. Both teams must have been put on other projects, because their products have stagnated. CloudKick no longer lets people sign up. Their blog, https://www.cloudkick.com/blog/ , has broken images and few updat…

  19. Cloudkick looks nice and I have great respect for the tech team behind it, but it's seriously overpriced. I don't mind paying for Saas (and pay many thousands a month for all sorts of services), but this is ridiculous: https://www.cloudkick.com/pricing/ I love how the page suggests that the $949/month plan is somehow the 'default'. :)

  21. TechCrunch: "Cloudkick Now Managing 1 Million Servers" Cloudkick Blog: "...we've just hit 1,000,000 servers registered all-time in Cloudkick." Those statements aren't even close to equivalent. 23. there is a gridview inside cloudkick, this is just an alternative view on the data, for example this is the dashboard: https://www.cloudkick.com/site_media/images/home_tour/dashbo... There is also the /monitoring/ page (which i don't have a screenshot of handy), which is a grid view similar to what you are talking about.

  27. I find it really annoying that these tech news sites (read TechCrunch) never link to the company. Always to crunchbase or in this case some silly twitter search about Cloudkick. Anyway, they do seem to have pretty good coverage for the major providers ( https://www.cloudkick.com/providers/ ) Anyone used their service in production?
