What Hacker News says?
We have to ditch language processing. And we will with online energy based models that machines boot from. Maxwell could not get the theory of electromagnetism to work until he ditched pulleys and levers he’d included to describe the mechanics. We won’t get AGI until we realize “there is no spoon” and language has nothing to do with our intelligence, just with out social tribalism: https://www.scientificamerican.com…

HN discussionNot for inferencing. M3 Ultra runs big LLMs twice as fast as RTX 5090. https://creativestrategies.com/mac-studio-m3-ultra-ai-workst... RTX 5090 only has 32GB RAM. M3 Ultra has up to 512 GB with 819 GB/sec bandwidth. It can run models that will not fit on an RTX card. EDIT: Benchmark may not be properly utilizing the 5090. But the M3 Ultra is way more capable than an entry level RTX card at LLM inferencing.

HN discussionThis is the best I can do right now. It isn't where I originally read it but google is failing me. https://creativestrategies.com/voice-assistant-anyone-yes-pl... What it comes to is the people on HN don't represent most people using iPhones.
