Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

Commenters link posts on YAML object shorthand and on the 'Kit' naming of Apple's HealthKit, which the author says Apple took from their own business name. No comment praises the writing.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

YAML has shorthand for objects. https://blog.daemonl.com/2016/02/yaml.html if you're repeating them, there's always this option.

From http://blog.daemonl.com/2014/06/healthkit-apple-stole-our-bu... > But not only HealthKit, The whole 'Kit naming scheme Apple's been using the "kit" naming convention for a much longer time (AppKit, IOKit, WebKit)--I think it originates in NeXTSTEP, if not earlier.
