Why HN links it

HN readers link this blog's posts on RSS and feed tooling, such as Huginn to Node-RED, and on privacy-focused iOS email apps. Comments cite them as examples without judging the writing.

What Hacker News says?

  1. I never experienced Yahoo Pipes however, I looked at some videos on YouTube and it appears to be similar to Node-Red. It may not be as intuitive but it looks like it may provide a similar experience. https://nodered.org/ Possible example: https://dannysu.com/2016/12/29/huginn-to-node-red/ There are also a few RSS discussions in the Node-Red forum: https://discourse.nodered.org/

  3. I wrote a blog post about this for iOS apps: https://dannysu.com/2015/12/11/best-ios-email-apps-for-priva... If you're on mobile, basically majority of the apps out there suck at this. You need to turn image loading off by default and then Gmail, built-in Mail, and FastMail are the only ones that pass.

  5. What's the relation (if anything) of [1] https://github.com/developerdizzle/react-virtual-list to [2] https://github.com/OutSystems/react-virtualized-list , who blogged [3] about their component in July 2016? For the GP, the technique itself is older [4][5][6][7], but with this new crop of component-oriented frameworks I can see the value of a dedicated component.
