What Hacker News says?
Yes, I am sure. "Copper clad" - board with copper cladding on it. Here's a higher-quality picture taken at an angle from a different article where you can clearly see that it's not massive metal, but fibrous board: https://i0.wp.com/www.pbase.com/daverichards/image/136603883... HN discussionSo true. One of the first things I did was build a direct conversion receiver with decent audio filtering. It had 45 mostly discrete components and sounded as good as a top end Yaesu. Similar to this one: https://aa7ee.wordpress.com/2012/07/27/using-the-nm0s-hi-per...

HN discussionI built a joule thief flashlight as part of a workshop at a security conference in 2018. We bought a kit that had all the parts, and then soldered them together. For a beginner soldering project, this is excellent. Unfortunately, I don't think the kit I built is still available. Here's some information I could dig up: - https://www.gigaparts.com/etow-humanalight.html - https://aa7ee.wordpress.com/2014/08/18/the-huma…
