David Collier's personal blog at david-collier.com covers politics and history. Since 2017, 4 different Hacker News readers have linked it 5 times. It is still writing: the last post was on 2026-11-02, and you can follow it by feed.
Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN commenters link his posts as sources on antisemitism in anti-Zionist movements, Guardian coverage of Israel, and a dispute over a Gaza child photo caption. No comment judges the writing itself.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
In theory yes, there is. In practice, when you look at actual people and survey their actual opinions - turn out no, there actually isn't much. Most pupportedly "anti-Zionist" movements are thoroughly infected with plain old garden variety antisemitism. E.g. see http://david-collier.com/psc-riddled-antisemitism/

HN discussionThis is the problem with the editors here using weasel phrasing like "pre-existing health problems" while at the same time still strongly implying that this child's condition is caused by starvation. In fact he suffers from cerebral palsy, and other photos from the same photoshoot clearly show his apparently healthy brother and mother present at the same time.
