Why HN links it
HN commenters mention nextmv as a company building a Go-based decision optimisation and routing platform with decision diagrams, mostly as a plug. None of the comments discuss the writing.

Great story and interesting product! Reminds me of NextMv [1] loved their episode on SWE daily. Can anyone compare them to this and how they’re doing? [1]: https://www.nextmv.io/

HN discussionShameless plug nextmv (YC W20) https://nextmv.io/ is building tooling in the same space in Go and were cloud native / serverless first. I used optaplanner at a previous gig before working at nextmv — we don’t offer the same type of “choose your own adventure” tooling compared to optaplanner yet, but it’s much more lightweight to get, say, a routing model shipped in to production IMO. (Java shops notwithstanding).

HN discussionDecision diagrams in general are really neat (and approachable in many contexts). My current employer, nextmv (YC W20), has built our solver in Go and it uses decision diagrams[2]. Just today we launched our free cloud platform[0][1] which exposes our fleet routing model via an API. So if you’re curious about modern uses / systems around decision diagrams take a look at our site, app and blog[2]. [0] https://news.yc…
