HN discussionStill trying to get a Play Store page with stats onto my AI Impact page, but if their numbers are anything like Apple's (and they're likely much higher), then it's a tough life for them right now: https://vester.si/ai-impact/appstore/

HN discussionSuch a great idea and implementation! I found out I had Alice in Wonderland syndrome as a child, after being sick with a 107+ fever - https://vester.si/bodily-oddities/oddities/alice-in-wonderla... . It lasted for a few years, occasionally recurring. I guess this was teleopsia, although my experience was that I could not tell what the distance was to an object. Very odd feeling, and pretty scary. Nobody I told about…

HN discussionIt should be illegal to publish AI horrors like this: https://vester.si/bodily-oddities/oddities/gleeking/ Life in prison (at least) But more on topic, this site is a cool idea but with the lamest execution ever. Whatever effort you might have put into collecting these phenomenon is overshadowed by the lazy AI slop. It doesn't seem like you're earning anything from this, so you just donated money to Anthropic/OpenAI…

HN discussion>if I’m about to fall asleep and I happen to hear a loud noise nearby, https://vester.si/bodily-oddities/oddities/hypnagogic-halluc... >I also see a flash of light with my closed eyelids. You might want to talk to a optician about that. It can be a sign of issues with your retina. I see flashes in a dark room when I wake up, because I have PVDs (posterior vitreous detachment) in both eyes. Edit: I just re-read your…

HN discussionInteresting site. I get the occasional Hypnopompic auditory illusion ( https://vester.si/bodily-oddities/oddities/hypnagogic-halluc... ). This is when you think you hear a sound as you wake up. For me it is normally an illusory door bell. It is very convincing. You rush down to the door and there is no-one there and my wife heard nothing. Maybe happens 2 or 3 times a year. I also get the occasional weird nerve shock…

on “Show HN: Bodily Oddities”I found quite interesting the apps the author created for dancing: https://vester.si/blog/dance-tools/ However I could not figure out which partner dances he focuses on, I would be curious to know.

on “The Nature of Dance”I while back I made a page that showed the impact of AI just on GitHub stats (PRs, commits, etc...) which I liked because it showed that they are getting absolutely hammered. Since then, I've wanted to see more graphs that are seemingly going vertical because of AI. But also going vertical downward (StackOverflow) because of AI. So I found some primary data sources and packed them tight onto this page: https://veste…

on “AI Impact – A Collection of Stats”Hah this is the 3rd fun app like this I've seen lately. I really like yours! I also built one! In mine you can compose effects using a graph, I've gotten carried away and now I keep wanting to bring more TouchDesigner concepts into it. It's far off, but so much fun! The best feedback on these kinds of apps is if you put it in camera mode and on a TV, and let a kid dance around in front of it. https://vester.si/motio…
