  1. I can't really do more then follow the basic steps. I suggest you go onto Clojure Slack channels. Are your Clojure tools working, do you understand how deps.edn works? If you have your clojure tool installed you just put: :rebl ;; for JDK 11+ {:extra-deps {com.cognitect/rebl {:mvn/version "0.9.242"} org.openjfx/javafx-fxml {:mvn/version "15-ea+6"} org.openjfx/javafx-controls {:mvn/version "15-ea+6"} org.openjfx/java…

  3. I also love Clojure and find it a very productive language. But surely the article makes it clear it falls very short of ‘real’ Lisp environments? There’s not much that Emacs and CIDER do that is so different to modes for other languages mentioned in the article with REPLs. If you’ve ever had stale protocol/record definitions in a Clojure REPL you know it doesn’t provide the features described. The whole ‘reloaded’…

  5. > speculative work in an editor, with all its features, has always felt a lot more productive to me Yeah, I agree with this, which is why I spend all my time in the editor, which is connected to the REPL. I never leave my editor to write stuff manually in the REPL, I simply send the forms from my editor to the REPL to be evaluated. So the best of both worlds :) Recent example of how that workflow looks like: https:/…

  7. Any comparison impressions from people who have tried this and the other data browsers like reveal[1] or portal[2] (or the many other ones)? Edit: noticed the screenshot now, and it's apparently a rebranding and evolution of REBL which was around as preview no-commercial-use tool before. 9. Clojure does pretty well. See https://github.com/nubank/morse , https://docs.datomic.com/cloud/other-tools/REBL.html , and https://vlaaad.github.io/reveal/ . It's one of the areas that homoiconicity helps: code is data, data is code, so visualization tools can work on both sides.
