Dominic Orchard writes ...never odd or even..., a personal blog at dorchard.wordpress.com about programming and science. Since 2012, 3 different Hacker News readers have linked it 3 times, most often “Automatic SIMD Vectorization for Haskell (Intel Haskell Research Compiler)”. The last post was in 2020, but the archive is still widely read.
Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN commenters link Dominic Orchard's posts as references on automatic SIMD vectorization in Haskell and on subcategories in Haskell's type system. The comments themselves do not judge the writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 2 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Haskell's GHC is working on it [1]. It's not primetime (not even close, really), but it does work with modified libraries and compiling to llvm. There is also Intel Lab's HRC (Haskell Research Compiler) that does have SIMD capabilities [2]. Unfortunately, there isn't a public release of HRC yet. --- [1]: https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/wiki/SIMD [2]: http://dorchard.wordpress.com/2013/10/14/automatic-simd-vect...
