DSL Platform is the company blog at blog.dsl-platform.com, writing about programming and data. Since 2013, 4 different Hacker News readers have linked it 7 times, most often “NoSQL in PostgreSQL”. No feed was found, so read it on the site itself.
Too few sampled comments (4) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link this blog for posts on database design: returning multiple result sets from queries, and Postgres support for objects, collections and recursive structures. Comments only cite the posts.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 4 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
The databases I build exist only to serve the application and I prefer to tightly couple the data access to the database itself, thereby addressing the object/relational impedance mismatch in one simple stroke. I usually write queries that return multiple resultsets when the caller needs to get a bunch of data from different tables all at once. (So, all of the time.) Instead of sending each table query to the databa…

HN discussionBoth Oracle and Postgres have objects and collections. This allows you to build hierarchical structures. Postgres unfortunately doesn't allow for recursive structures ;( If you are interested in how to do it take a look here: https://blog.dsl-platform.com/postgres-bridge-between-worlds...
