Enrico Z. Borba's personal blog at ezb.io covers math, programming and science. Since 2018, 3 different Hacker News readers have linked it 10 times. No feed was found, so read it on the site itself.
Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link Enrico Z. Borba's posts on graphical linear algebra and interaction nets, such as 'When Adding met Copying'. Only one comment discusses this content, citing it neutrally; the other comment is about shells and does not discuss the blog.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 2 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Typst is great for web content as well (even though their HTML export functionality is still experimental). I've written blog posts on interaction nets in Typst [0] and I really like how the diagrams look. [0]: https://ezb.io/thoughts/interaction_nets/lambda_calculus/202...

HN discussionIt works really well, I've written three blog posts using typst. Post: https://ezb.io/thoughts/interaction_nets/lambda_calculus/202... Typst source: https://github.com/enricozb/enricozb.github.io/blob/master/t...

HN discussionWorking on writing a series of blog posts on interaction nets. The first one is up already an is an introduction to the topic [0]. I feel like the topic is very accessible but the ideas are spread out across discord channels, papers, twitter, and GitHub repos. Hoping to centralize it a bit. HN discussionIt's interesting how some of these diagrams are almost equivalent in the context of encoding computation in interaction nets using symmetric interaction combinators [1]. From the perspective of the lambda calculus for example, the duplication of the addition node in "When Adding met Copying" [2] mirrors exactly the iterative duplication of lambda terms - ie. something like (λx.x x) M! on “Graphical Linear Algebra”Differentiable Logic Gate Networks [0] are super interesting. However, I still don't like that the wiring is fixed initially rather than learned. I did some extremely rough research into doing learnable wirings [1], but couldn't get past even learning ~4-bit addition. on “Compiling a neural net to C for a speedup”Ugh. I have so many conflicting opinions on this question. So, Xonsh is superior in the manipulation of shell objects. I felt super at home changing the shell prompt and configuring/extending the default Xonsh functionality. This is all because it's literally a superset of Python. Fish however, blows Xonsh out of the water when it comes to autocomplete and navigation. Xonsh's autocomplete / suggestions are very very…
