Evolution AI is the company blog at evolution.ai, writing about ai and data. Since 2016, 5 different Hacker News readers have linked it 11 times, most often “Benchmarking TensorFlow on Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090”. No feed was found, so read it on the site itself.
Too few sampled comments (4) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link Evolution AI's benchmarking post on deep learning GPU performance per dollar. The comments are mostly from the company's CTO promoting its data extraction product.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 4 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Not to reply to you twice in two different threads but for this threads sake you can absolutely run things like TF on them and they absolutely do kick ass in terms of performance per dollar when you do. I.e. look into what you need out of "ML" and CUDA and the perf/dollar before assuming you need to buy a Quadro simply because you're not playing games on it. https://www.evolution.ai/post/benchmarking-deep-learning-w…

HN discussion@AznHisoka I would like to hear more about this! This is exactly a problem we are trying to solve ( http://evolution.ai ) One cannot even imagine how many people in the world have a boring job of looking at word document and C&P some of the data into excel spreadsheet. Other half have a job of looking at some document and effectively making Yes/No decisions all day. Disclaimer, I am the CTO

HN discussionI was originally appalled at the software limiting. But according to Tim Dettmers who has a solid record of predicting and comparing NVIDIA cards for deep learning performance, it's not really a big deal. You can read his analysis here: https://timdettmers.com/2020/09/07/which-gpu-for-deep-learni... and his tweet about this here: https://twitter.com/Tim_Dettmers/status/1311354118514982912 Essentially from my underst…
