Florian Kugler's personal blog at floriankugler.com covers programming and writing. Since 2013, 5 different Hacker News readers have linked it 10 times, most often “Auto Layout Performance on iOS”. No feed was found, so read it on the site itself.
Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link his posts for measurements of Auto Layout performance, arguing constraint layout scales O(n^2) while procedural layout is cheaper. Linked in threads on iOS layout and the iPhone 6+ display.

What Hacker News says?
Constraint layout systems are O(n^2) algorithms, while a procedural layout algo can be O(1) or O(n). I think out of practicality it wasn't adopted. It would be better if both were available, but such is life. http://floriankugler.com/2013/04/22/auto-layout-performance-...

HN discussionIf your getting edge cases, why don't you just write your own layoutSubviews method and avoid using constraints except for very basic things? It's relatively simple stuff to write, and is more performant than autolayout, since layoutSubviews is O(1)-ish while autolayout looks like it's O(n^2). If you don't believe me, look at this blog article that measures it: http://floriankugler.com/blog/2013/4/21/auto-layout-per…
