  5. These are great and I need to start using these. For instance the dominantcolor script extracts color schemes from pictures. Something I've tried to do by eye in the past with limited success. http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/dominantcolor/index.p...

  9. That seems a little sketchy for the simpler ones, like this: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/gaussian/index.php He shows the equivalent IM command lines, and it's 2 lines of text. No issue with the more complex ones though...it's his work.

  17. I am not surprised for a script north of 2000 characters for this. Check out Fred's ImageMagick scripts ( http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/index.php ). In the similar concept, they are long shell scripts generating an imagemagick command

  21. Cool! I did something similar just recently for cleaning up scans of my laboratory notes (in a moleskin). I have an Automator action which watches the scan folder, automatically crops/splits the pages and cleans them up, then uploads them into Evernote. Gives me a searchable cloud backup of my lab notes! Anyway, I cheated by using some of these actions: http://www.fmwconcepts.com/imagemagick/ In particular the "text…

  27. This page is also worth taking a look: "Fred's ImageMagick Scripts" [0] Fred seems to be an Imagemagick Expert who has written a lot of free shellscripts, over the years. There are examples of multiline scripts for complex tasks (e.g. improving bad (greyed, inclined) scans or prints from a copymachine). Scroll down for illustrations, its a rather long webpage. 28. Yeah scanning the receipts takes the longest time in the whole process. So you should make sure that you have a fast and simple scanner. I can recommend to buy a simple photo scanner like I did. It's just a couple bucks and it will save you so much time. And the quality was near perfect. Even very old receipts could be parsed after scanning with it. When it comes to rotation, you can try http://www.fmwconcepts.com/i…
