What Hacker News says?

  1. I'm so sorry to hear that has happened to the team behind hyperscan. It's truly a fantastic library and has helped us speed up some of our regex heavy workloads write drastically. I even spent some time writing about hyperscan both internally (at $dayjob) and externally . Thanks for your work on hyperscan! I think I'll identify a few other libraries that we use and reach out to their developers - it's a good reminde…

  5. There're a few Go IDEs that integrate GDB into the IDE. http://geekmonkey.org/articles/20-comparison-of-ides-for-goo... I'm the author of one of them (Zeus) and while the results are not as slick as the Visual Studio debugger it's a better than straight out GDB.

  9. I switched to the Kinesis Advantage 2 about 9 months ago ( https://geekmonkey.org/learning-to-type-dvorak/ ) and couldn't be happier. It takes quite a while to rewire the brain (at least it did for me) but I feel a lot more confident and a tad bit faster than I was before I switched.

  12. I personally love the clicky sound of the Advantage 2. I switched to it some time last year after having RSI related symptoms. Since the keyboard required me to retrain muscle memory I also ended up switching to Dvorak (wrote about it at https://geekmonkey.org/learning-to-type-dvorak/ ). It took a significant amount of time to get back up to speed, but some time last month it finally "clicked" and I couldn't be happ…
