Gabriel Pickard writes what?, a personal blog at gpickard.wordpress.com about programming and ai. Since 2008, 3 different Hacker News readers have linked it 6 times. The last post was in 2014, but the archive is still widely read.
Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Linked by commenters on Show HN threads about a collaborative code editor, as the author's write-up of his approach to Operational Transformation. One commenter also cites a related neural-network remark.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Stypi is a more mature project with more features. Also they use the ACE-editor which arguable is more feature-rich (though poorer in documentation IMHO). My project is open source: https://github.com/werg/snucode So it's also an example use of the Node.js websockets framework SocketStream. Furthermore I do operational transformation a bit differently (presumably, not sure how they do it): http://gpickard.wordpress.…

HN discussionSo I started building this as a coding exercise for an interview, I'd particularly be interested in getting feedback on my approach to Operational Transformation: http://gpickard.wordpress.com/2012/02/17/my-approach-to-oper...

HN discussionI have done some work with RAAMs and other simple recurrent network based methods. It's terribly tedious, you can hardly represent more than five symbols or so. I did my Bachelor's thesis on related techniques (pressing variable length strings into fixed sized vectors to deal with neural nets - URL below) - I can only say pertaining to neural networks that the decoding capabilities of NNs are severly limited. I actu…
