  5. I pointed out my personal website earlier in the thread, but later recalled I’ve kept archives of every major version going back to ~2000. They sort of capture trends over time. http://v1.harishnarayanan.org http://v2.harishnarayanan.org http://v3.harishnarayanan.org http://v4.harishnarayanan.org http://v5.harishnarayanan.org https://harishnarayanan.org

  9. One interesting thing is that graphviz can output to many formats, including SVG. This makes it great for websites, where one can later do things like later tweak the colours on the fly. e.g. https://harishnarayanan.org/writing/kubernetes-django/

  10. Also posting own website: https://harishnarayanan.org/ As the original poster, I too have been through many years of grad school. I have not needed to interview for jobs, and believe my website has sold me well.

  11. I agree with the parent comment, it is easiest to just play with it. If you're particularly interested in Python webapps, I've written a tutorial on how Kubernetes can help deploy a Django app in a scalable and resilient fashion: https://harishnarayanan.org/writing/kubernetes-django/

  12. Yes, this course is very good: https://youtu.be/2uiulzZxmGg In addition, you can try to work through a serious project related to computer vision to help you solidify concepts. I worked used Style Transfer as my motivating example: https://harishnarayanan.org/writing/artistic-style-transfer/

  13. This is exciting. I need to update my Django Kubernetes tutorial ( https://harishnarayanan.org/writing/kubernetes-django/ ) with some new constructs that simplify things.

  15. Blogging allows me to really learn something, because I tend to write technical posts that are deep dives on topics. e.g. I pick a topic, say neural style transfer ( https://harishnarayanan.org/writing/artistic-style-transfer/ ), and then I force myself to learn a bunch about deep learning before I write about it. In addition, it gives me exposure, opens up opportunity for talks, and sparks interesting conversations…
