What Hacker News says?
I am not implying it is the best option for everybody trying to come and set up in the US, but for hardware companies there are better options than the US. In fact there are US based hardware accelerators[1] that encourage and facilitate setting up in Shenzhen for a short while so that you can be close to your eventual supply chain. HN discussionI think it's disingenuous to claim so stridently that it isn't a Chinese stack (not to mention the implicit assumption that Chinese code is not composed of high quality contributions). on “Arduboy – A game system the size of a credit card”I don't know much, but did see there was a Bloomberg series about Shenzen that had some Western entrepreneurs in some episodes. It looks awesome tbh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLmaIbb13GM I think in that episode they were talking about the Hax incubator. https://hax.co/

on “Ask HN: Those who moved careers from the West to China, what's your experience?”There is HAX in Shenzhen, but it's focused on pre-crowdfunded consumer hardware projects. However, at their last building (they moved around 2016/2017) the space apparently interleaved the foreign cohort with a domestic intake they never talk about (to my knowledge) in foreign media. https://hax.co/ There are quite a few in Hong Kong as well. https://medium.com/whub/hong-kong-accelerator-and-incubator-...

on “Startup School Beijing”In the video, the author claims to be part of a hardware accelerator in China called HAX ( https://hax.co/accelerator/ ). Any other information on this? I find it interesting on their website that the conclusion of the accelerator is to get a successful crowd funded project...
