  3. Also https://www.hostedgraphite.com - We host Graphite and StatsD with Grafana dashboards, as well as alerting and integrations to several other dev tools. It's a self-funded business running for 5 years, and profitable with 14+ staff.

  5. Grafana has been fine with this for many years, as far as I can tell. They take a "big tent" approach to this. Plenty of companies incorporate a hosted Grafana in their product. A few monitoring platforms too: https://HostedGraphite.com for many years now, and my own https://HostedMetrics.com in the last few years.

  13. http://www.hostedgraphite.com - exactly what it sounds like. (For those who don't know what Graphite is, it's a popular open source tool for recording and graphing metrics, typically server and app performance stuff)

  14. The metric limit isn't on the front page yet, but you can see it per-plan on the plan choosing page: http://www.hostedgraphite.com/pick_plan/ There is a limit on metrics/sec, currently 50/sec, but we're trying to keep that limit high enough that people don't need to worry about it. We expect that most people won't hit the API directly and will use statsd instead.

  15. If you're installing it on a laptop just to play with it, perhaps https://www.hostedgraphite.com might be useful. The 14 day trial means you can fool around and dump it for self-hosted at the end of it. :) (My company)

  16. Have a look at https://logentries.com/ and maybe http://www.splunk.com/en_us/products/splunk-light.html for searching and analytics. Splunk started with a knowledge base of common errors, not sure if they still have that. Personally I'm exploring https://www.hostedgraphite.com/ for the graphs and alerting.

  17. We're pretty happy with https://www.hostedgraphite.com/ (most metrics send from AWS Cloudfront). Small startup from Ireland. You can also install software like https://graphiteapp.org/ , https://prometheus.io/ or https://www.zabbix.com/ on your own hardware.
