Too few sampled comments (14) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

Commenters link jam.dev pages, including its bug-reporting essay, utilities and docs, mainly to promote the Jam bug-capture tool. The comments praise the product rather than the writing.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 14 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

Jam is a screen recorder for software teams. Capture bugs, feedback, and ideas with available console logs, network requests, device details, and user events.

What Hacker News says?

  1. From https://jam.dev/docs : Jam is a browser extension that allows you to create the perfect bug report in just one click. You will now be able to capture an instant replay of the bug happening on your web app and include all the developer logs required to cut your bug reporting time by 20x. (to me that was a more useful summary)

I don't think this approach is scalable, for the main reason that sometimes we use custom headers to pass tokens. My suggestion is to have a setting that lists default headers you think should be obfuscated, and the user/team can remove and add to them as they like…

  5. Awesome, I will check back regularly. This looks like one of those tools that is genuinely really useful. I would love be able to tell my users to just fireup a browser extension and record a bug, rather than having to step them through how to capture all that data manually. Well Done!
