  3. ts-loader maintainer here. webpack never did typechecking. It's possible to run ts-loader in two modes; with type checking active and with it disabled. For years I've been advising running type checking as a separate process to improve the development workflow: https://blog.johnnyreilly.com/2017/09/07/typescript-webpack-... Exciting news about turbopack - the world is about to get much faster!

  5. Yup - though you need to make use of lib if you want to write es2016 TypeScript and have Babel transpile it. Not too hard to get set up though: http://blog.johnnyreilly.com/2016/09/typescript-20-es2016-an...

EDIT: Paste this hacky snippet into your browser's console to save all of the links into your clipboard: (() => { let result = [...document.querySelectorAll('td a')] .map((link) => link && !link.href.includes('ycombinator') && !link.href.includes('javascript:void') ? link.href : '' ) .filter(Boolean); result = [...new Set(result)]; result.sort(); copy(result.join('\n\n')); })(); Just to help, here's a compiled-list…

  9. Shameless plug: https://blog.johnnyreilly.com I generally write about tech I'm using; a lot of TypeScript, a lot of Bicep, a lot of Azure at the moment. Essentially anything that intrigues me may get blogged

  11. I love "how this came to be" type documentaries. I'm not a Vue user myself but I'll all in on watching this! I should declare an interest; I wrote the history of the Definitely Typed project last year: https://blog.johnnyreilly.com/2019/10/definitely-typed-movie... It's exactly this sort of vibe I had in mind as I was writing it. I'm really looking forward to watching the full documentary!

  19. I can only speak for my own experience. I blog because I enjoy it and because it helps me stop repeatedly solving the same problems. It's essentially my long term memory published to a website. If it was only that and no-one read it, that would be fine. It has been going for more than 10 years now and I have no plans to stop. TBH I only really started looking at traffic in the last year and I'm gratified it gets a b…

  21. Declare your interest Sebastien ;-) I migrated my own blog to Docusaurus from Blogger about a year and a half ago. I became very enamoured (and still am) with the idea of writing blog posts as markdown, storing them as code and publishing them as a website. I was delighted at how much Docusaurus aligned with that. So much so that I wrote a guide to help others migrate: https://blog.johnnyreilly.com/definitive-guide-…
