What Hacker News says?
The homepage for my blog is apparently 9.95kB, which includes all styles, some JS, and the content. There is an additional 22kB font file that breaks the rule, but when I first designed the site I used built-in browser fonts only, and it looked fine. There are no images on the homepage apart from a couple of inlined SVG icons in the footer. Looking at the posts themselves, they vary in size but the content/styles/JS…

HN discussionI wrote about this last year, it's one of my favourite bits of this spec: https://jonathan-frere.com/posts/disposables-in-javascript/#... TL;DR: the problem if you just pass the DisposableStack that you're working with is that it's either a `using` variable (in which case it will be disposed automatically when your function finishes, even if you've not actually finished with the stack), or it isn't (in which case if…

Then there's a Hugo template tha…

HN discussionI think the point is that you can already do all of that with hand-wired dependency injection. I wrote about an example of that a couple of years ago here: https://jonathan-frere.com/posts/how-i-do-dependency-injecti... This has the advantage that you don't need an extra framework/dependency to handle DI, and it means that dependencies are usually much easier to trace (because you've literally got all the code in yo…
