I highly encourage not falling into Dreger's article or engage in what is generally dismissed and discredited theory(ies) that surrounded all this. The article reference ends up less about the evidence and scientific rigor and more about the underlying drama. on “Lynn Conway has died”Singal repeatedly denies he is transphobic while also constantly writing articles that align with the anti-trans and gender critical communities, and also ignoring all criticism from actual trans people, even those he specifically sought information from. You can’t take her words as some sort of neutral account of what happened. If you don’t want trans people and specifically trans women to exist it’s very easy to use words like ‘trying to ruin’ to describe well-deserved criticism and rebuttal.
