Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

HN readers link Luke Bechtel's posts on AI-assisted programming: one on writing explicit specs before vibe coding, and one on GPT-4 designing a programming language, with its earlier HN discussion.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 2 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

  1. nice! Can't agree more on Vibe Speccing. I wrote more about Spec Driven AI development here: https://lukebechtel.com/blog/vibe-speccing

  3. I totally agree! this is the idea behind my recent post actually[1] where I recommend people use AI to write specs before they code. If all you have to do is a human is edit the spec, not write it from scratch, you're more likely to actually make one. [1] https://lukebechtel.com/blog/vibe-speccing

  5. Thanks for the writeup! I talked about a similar, but slightly simpler workflow in my post on "Vibe Specs". https://lukebechtel.com/blog/vibe-speccing I use these rules in all my codebases now. They essentially cause the AI to do two things differently: (1) ask me questions first (2) Create a `spec.md` doc, before writing any code. Seems not too dissimilar from yours, but I limit it to a single LLM

  9. Very cool! Yep, a constantly updated spec is the key. Wrote about this here: https://lukebechtel.com/blog/vibe-speccing I've also found it's helpful to have it keep an "experiment log" at the bottom of the original spec, or in another document, which it must update whenever things take "a surprising turn"
