    > Deus Ex (Super old but quite good, I started it recently. I had best results in Proton selecting the software renderer in the first launch dialog instead of DX9) I recommend Deus Exe [0] for playing Deus Ex. And yes, it's still an awesome game. [0] https://kentie.net/article/dxguide/

Definitely don't do this for your first playthrough thoug, play the original instead with only simple fixpacks like Kentie's Deus Exe launcher [0]. Opinionated mods should not be recommended as the default experience. https://kentie.net/article/dxguide/

  4. The missing part in that story is that the system was an IBM PS/2 Model 9595. They were a complete tank. 6. Fan patches for various games can go pretty far in this direction too. For example here is one guy making a D3D10 renderer for Unreal (the original one): http://kentie.net/article/d3d10drv/ Sure they usually do not employ emulators, but still often afaik they place themselves between the game and the API, translating it to something more modern in passing.

  7. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (prequel to the original Deus Ex) that came out the other year also had a story that sucked you in wanting more and if you like stealth games, it was geared towards that. I somehow missed playing the original Deus Ex, but it's almost better that way, as the story becomes more intriguing as it unfolds without you knowing the Deus Ex Universe ahead of time. I'm currently playing the first Deu…
