What Hacker News says?

  1. I can second this: I spent years looking in utterly the wrong direction with things, even making this: http://tiledtext.com so that I could program with motion sensors instead—then someone recommended to me (for a second time, since I ignored it the first time) Dr. Sarno's work. BTW: that you're left hand started in so soon after is probably a good indication that this isn't entirely physical! Sarno's stuff works (a…

Unfortunately the conventional route can end up in unnecessary surgery and a hopeless cycle of disappointment. I would recommend trying this crazy-hard-to-believe (but is legit) route first, as there is no risk in learning about it and trying it. No drugs, no diet changes, no surgery etc. Just retraining the brain. I recommend rsa25519 to give this a read, http://www.satori.org/rist/ (pasted below, keep in mind the…

  3. 100% think that all of us should know the technique that Dr. Sarno has discovered! I have had great success with neck, upper back/shoulder and lower back pain using the essence of what is going on here with pain. The latest research I have had success with is based on Sarno's work and started with Dr. Schubiner's "Unlearn Your Pain" workbook and the "Unlearn Your Pain" podcast by Alan Gordon via Curable, plus all th…

  4. I've got to second that it's probably worthwhile for the author to check out and consider the wikipedia article. I pretty much gave up programming for six years, utterly convinced that I had a physical disorder causing me constant pain in wrists, hands, elbows, shoulders, etc. I tried all kinds of physical approaches during that time, many of which would appear to impact it in one way or another, but none that reall…

  5. I interviewed someone with crazy RSI and debilitating hand issues (they had to use voice control software). They cured their RSI and you can listen to the interview here and also read their success story. "I had 10 years of 24 hour a day, 7 days a week chronic pain in my fingers, wrists, forearms, arms, elbows from typing, mousing, and using a computer up until 12/12/2008 as a computer science student and as a softw…
