Thanks for sharing -- looks like zfs still doesn't support tiering and just has the ARC and using SLOG for similar functionality... And yeah, ZFS can't be expanded willy-nilly, found a good blog post with someone's adventures that was illuminating[0]. [0]: https://markmcb.com/2020/01/07/five-years-of-btrfs/

HN discussionSo has anyone here used zfs and btrfs and would like to comment on the differences? I've been on a heavy zfs kick lately, but the performance loss is hard to stomach and the only research I found points to btrfs being faster (though of course they both take a hit). HN discussion"Also, programmers seem to be far more interested in keyboards as a subject that most people." They worry about keyboards because it's one of the professions where RSI is common. http://www.looknohands.me http://markmcb.com/2014/10/13/severe-hand-rsi-pain-and-recov... http://web.stanford.edu/~ouster/cgi-bin/wrist.php - Stanford professor and creator of TCL Here are plenty of other stories: https://github.com/melling…

HN discussionMy TEK stopped registering certain keys, like the arrow keys. Wasn't sure if it's a Mac issue. I bought the Model 01 on Kickstarter which ships next year. I've got tons of keyboard notes: http://thespanishsite.com/public_html/org/ergo/keyboards.htm... And I wrote a small blog on Ergonomic keyboards: https://h4labs.wordpress.com/2015/07/16/the-model-01-an-heir... For something we use 8-20 hours a day, keyboards shoul…

HN discussionNice one. I love those "least of your problems" quips.
