Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

The only comment says the site appears to be down and says nothing about the posts or their writing, so the linked content's subject cannot be determined from these comments.

Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

  3. (Shameless plug) I just wrote about this very thing on Friday: http://mattdeboard.net/2012/10/05/larry-the-software-guy/ Not my best writing ever but that round's already downrange. Plus there's an excellent response from Alex Feinberg in the comments.

  5. I got a relative lot of email on this (given that I normally get zero mail it was a landslide) so I blogged responses to the questions I got. http://mattdeboard.net/2011/11/23/how-i-became-a-programmer/

  7. I use Armin Ronacher's rstblog site generator. I'd say the inverse of what you said is true, at least in my experience. At some point it is much simpler to just use a static site generator. That point is when you nail down your workflow. I wrote about this very topic this morning: http://mattdeboard.net/2011/05/09/more-tips-on-rstblog/

  11. I use Armin Ronacher's RST blog ( https://github.com/mitsuhiko/rstblog ). I even wrote a guide for its use: http://mattdeboard.net/2011/05/09/more-tips-on-rstblog/ minimal static site generator. Worth it if you just want to put your content up and don't need or want pre-packaged bells and whistles.

  15. On the original post he says switching to a "real" PL is probably "right" but onerous. I won't nitpick on whether or not it's onerous, but maybe it's not as onerous as the author thinks. A few years ago I blogged about generating a Markdown changelog based on PRs http://mattdeboard.net/2014/01/14/automatic-changelog-genera... Though the output is different (just concerned with merge commits), I reckon you could prob…
