What Hacker News says?

  1. It changed with the introduction of HTML5. It was one of those ideas that’s great for spec nerds, but flew in the face of previous standards compliance. It’s something I used on a lot of sites in the 2010s, but that I no longer have access to change. I’m betting this will make some old sites built by standards fiends look weird in spots, but not break things too badly. https://mattryall.net/blog/html-5-headings-and-…

  3. Just to add another sample, I have a Phenom II X4 940 (not OCed right now) and the most taxing one I found was http://www.mattryall.net/demo/atlassian-vis/activity/ , which put one core around 70% on average while not touching the others.

  5. Here's an example of what I mean. It only works in Firefox, unfortunately, but shows the concept of using raster sprites within SVG: http://www.mattryall.net/demo/civ-svg/ SVG is by no means a solid game development platform, but it is some interesting browser-based technology which might be useful for game developers to investigate.
